Paul Reed

Paul Reed

Owner, Cadastral Surveyor & Town Planner

Paul manages Subdivision Projects from the Design and Planning stages through to the preparation of your Survey Plan for preparation of Titles. Paul spends much of his time looking after new clients, preparing proposals for new developments, lodging Planning applications and finalising the Survey Plans for Sealing with Local Councils. Paul is active on sites, carrying out land surveys on a regular basis.

Andrew Isaac

Mackay Operations Manager

Andrew Isaac is a Cadastral Surveyor from the South Coast of NSW, having grown up in Ulladulla and Nowra. He studied Surveying at Wollongong Tafe and later at the University of Newcastle completing a four-year degree in 1997. Andrew was an associate of Allen Price and Associates from 2005 and completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Town Planning at The University of Technology Sydney. Soon after this he was made a Partner at Allen Price and Associates. In 2012 Andrew started working with BHP as their Cadastral Surveyor. For the past 8 years he has been working as part of the Land Access and Approvals team in the Bowen Basin working predominately on mining leases, land subdivision and easement surveys, helping to secure valuable tenure for BHP.


Ken Burmeister

Senior Town Planner

Ken is a passionate Town Planner who has been practicing since 2007 and has over 6 years’ experience with Redland City Council as a development assessment planner. Ken’s most recent secondment at Redlands was to the 2015 Redlands Planning Scheme drafting team which has seen him contribute to developing several of the new zone codes. That work has involved him in researching various planning schemes through Queensland and as such he is well placed to provide planning advice for development outside of Redlands. East Coast Surveys is proud to have been able to sponsor Ken to attend the Queensland Environmental Law Association’s training for expert witnesses. This training is highly sought after and is only offered to a limited number of candidates. Ken has appeared in court on behalf of a client for an infrastructure matter. Ken has a wide local government background including being a qualified Environmental Health Officer. In that role he has experience in managing the Health Depot for Logan City Council..

Mark Hayman

Surveying Associate

Mark Philip Hayman has worked in the surveying industry for 29 years and has been a registered Surveying Associate for 20 years. Mark’s expertise includes surveying of cadastral boundaries for residential, industrial and rural subdivisions, strata title surveys & identification surveys. He has also performed many Level and Detail surveys, As-constructed surveys, engineering set out surveys, and building set out surveys. Mark has experience in AutoCAD drafting of plans for a variety of surveys.
